Senior year moves fast — games, shows, college apps, and the "wait, is this almost over?" feeling. The last thing you need is a photographer who makes you stand there awkwardly while they figure out what to do with you.

I'm Nichole, a Cedar Rapids and Marion area senior photographer, and also a full-time Spanish teacher at Linn-Mar. I spend my days around teenagers, so I know the difference between a real smile and a picture smile.

I teach high schoolers all day, every day. This isn't a hobby I picked up last year. I know how to get a real smile out of you, even if you swear you're not photogenic. As a bonus, I understand teenage humor, teenage nerves, and teenage "I don't know how to pose, please help me" energy. Sessions feel more like hanging out with a friend who happens to have a really nice camera.

Relaxed, unrushed, and genuinely fun. We'll move through locations and outfits at a pace that feels natural.

Your images are ready in 2-3 weeks via a private online gallery you can share with friends + family.

FAQ

When should I book senior photos?

Spring and early summer are ideal — before fall sports, show choir, and homework take over. But I book sessions year-round, so reach out whenever you're ready. Not sure how the timeline works? Check out my full guide to senior picture timelines for a month-by-month breakdown below.

What should I wear for my senior session?

I recommend bringing a mix of outfits so you have variety. Think casual, dressy, something that feels like your everyday style, and anything that shows your personality.

Can we include sports, hobbies, pets, or special interests?

Absolutely. Senior pictures should feel personal, so we can include meaningful details that help tell your story.

Do you help with posing?

Yes. You do not need to know what to do. I’ll guide you through posing, movement, and natural prompts the entire time.

Where do senior sessions take place?

I shoot on location throughout Cedar Rapids, Marion, Center Point-Urbana, and the surrounding Eastern Iowa area as well as in my Central City studio. We will discuss options and make the decision about locations together.

Do parents come to the session?

They absolutely can. Some seniors bring one parent, some two, some don’t. Some seniors bring a friend or significant other. We’ll do whatever makes you feel most comfortable.
