Are you expecting or has your new bundle arrived?

It's time to book your maternity and newborn session!

Your newborn isn't going to curl up in a tiny bucket, hands folded under their chin, for twenty minutes. And honestly? You don't need that for beautiful photos.

I photograph newborns the way they actually are — swaddled in your arms, mid-yawn, gripping dad's finger. Lifestyle, baby-led, real. Just like I did with my own babies when they were born.

Why Families

Choose Nichole

No forced poses, no tight wraps. I don't do the composite-style poses you see in some newborn galleries. The ones requiring your baby to be folded into positions they'd never naturally settle into. My sessions follow your baby's lead: fed, swaddled loosely if at all, and photographed in the moments that are actually happening, not staged into ones that aren't.

A mom's perspective, not just a photographer's. I know how fragile those first few weeks feel The exhaustion, the worry, the moments you want to remember but are too tired to write down. My goal is to hand you back photos of what those weeks actually looked like, not a version that feels disconnected from your real life.

Comfortable, low-pressure sessions. Whether we're in your home or my Central City studio, sessions move at your baby's pace. If we need to pause for a feeding or a meltdown, we pause. There's no rush, and there's no "perfect shot" we're forcing to happen.

Kind Words from Families

Amy

I have done 3 photo sessions with Nichole and she NEVER disappoints! She captures the real life of motherhood, children, & natural chaos of life. My kids even remembered her from the last session and were excited for pictures. She even got them to cooperate! She took a great variety of poses. It was hard to pick out our favorites! You will not regret doing a session with Nichole!

FAQ

How are your sessions different from typical newborn photography?

Traditional newborn photography often uses tight wraps, prop posing, and composite positioning that requires the baby to be folded into poses they wouldn't naturally hold. I don't do that. My sessions are lifestyle-based and baby-led — real moments, not manufactured ones.

Where do newborn sessions take place?

Both in home or in my Central City studio are options. Many families prefer in-home newborn sessions since it's one less thing to pack up and travel with in those early days, but the Central City studio is available too.

Can siblings, pets or grandparents be part of the session?

Absolutely — sibling, grandparent and pet moments are often some of the most requested images from a newborn session.

When should we book a newborn session?

Ideally during pregnancy, so we can plan a flexible date for the first 1-2 weeks after birth, when babies are sleepiest and most cooperative for photos.

What if our baby won't sleep or is fussy during the session?

Totally normal, and totally fine. We build in time for feedings and fussy moments — a good chunk of the best images come from those real, unscripted moments anyway.

Do you offer maternity and newborn as a package option?

Yes! My "Grow With Me" package bundles all four first-year sessions — maternity, newborn, 6-month, and 1-year — for $1,450 (a $200 savings vs. booking separately). It's a $250 deposit at booking, then $300 due at each session, so the cost spreads out naturally across your baby's first year. I can also create a custom package for you based on your needs.
