How long does a session last?
Mini-sessions are scheduled for 15 minutes. Full sessions are scheduled for up to 60 minutes. Newborn sessions typically last from 1-1.5 hours and senior sessions start at 1 hour.
Will there be a second shooter?
I do not typically have a second shooter on site. However, I do have second shooters available and can schedule them if necessary or requested.
Can I extend the session on the day of?
If I do not have a session scheduled after yours, then session extension may be a possibility. Availability will vary per session. It will not be a guarantee. Extending a session will include a fee based upon duration of time needed.
What kind of gear do you use?
I use a Canon 5D Mark III with my favorite lens (50mm 1.8 or 85mm 1.8).
Do I have to order prints through you?
No, you will obtain the rights to the photos with the price of your session. You may print wherever you like. I have now also added the ability to purchase prints and products directly from your gallery. Be sure to check out the options available to you.
Can I bring my pet/s?
Absolutely, as long as we discuss this in advance and they are well trained. I love capturing memories with furry family members! They deserve their moment to shine with your family as well. *May vary based upon approval from location of shoot if necessary.
What should we wear?
Upon booking your session, I will share a style guide with you to help with your apparel choices. I do not currently have a client closet to choose from.
What happens if it rains/ it is too cold?
In the event of inclement weather, we can either take our fun in my beautiful studio located at 413 E. Main, Central City or we can reschedule for a better day outdoors. Either way, I've got you covered!
How far do you travel?
Although I typically photograph in the Central City, Marion and Cedar Rapids areas, I am willing to travel beyond that. Please contact me for a quote for travel beyond 20 miles from my home location in Marion.
